A career in the beauty industry

I believe many school leavers are thinking of what to study next now that SPM results are out. The woman living a few doors away from my house is having a fine time arguing with her daughter since Saturday on her choice of studies. She wants to become a beautician and go further her studies at a cosmetology school but her mom wants her to take up a Secretarial Course instead. Difficult, eh.... since the one paying the school fees is the one objecting to it. I believe if the girl has an interest in the subject, then by all means let her go ahead with it. You cant really force your kid to study something that YOU think is good for them. It's a waste of both time and money if they drop out halfway later on.
