My mom's house is now rented out. My brother put it up for sale with a real estate broker for more than a year already. But too bad, till now still no news. From what i gathered from my mom, the asking price is way to high. In fact, it's 20k more than market rate o.O .... Chisin meh...
Me, i'd rather sell the old house off. Renting it out also may not be a very good idea as you still have to maintain the place when there are tenants there. If they treat your house well and does not create damages to it, then you're in luck. But half the time, it's just plain troublesome as the rent rate here is low. Good for you, LB, you got rid of yours at a good rate.

Not finalized yet. I am due in Ipoh this summer to sort it all out.. Hopefully, deal done by the end of August.
