How often do you vacuum the carpet?

How often do you vacuum the carpet? I do it everyday. I cant stand seeing white flecks on it. Drives me nuts. And then again, my kids eats in the room. I hate it most when my MIL gives Gordon a cookie or two without a container and he brings them back into the room. Hubby says to remove it but i like walking on the carpet. Hate hard cold floor tiles. It's a timber flooring, i dont mind. Just not tiles, blek. Next time, i'll have home theater carpet installed all over my house, especially in my entertainment room.
