Will you try lap band surgery if you are fat?

I bumped into Patty the other day at the food court and nearly couldnt recognize her. She's gotten so fat; almost triple her size from when i first got to know her. She told me her hubby will be taking her to consult a Tampa lap band surgery specialist to help with her weight problem. I really hope it's going to work out fine for her. I cant bear to imagine myself becoming so fat one day. If lap band surgery really can help with weight problem, i'd be the first one to go get it done. If you're in her shoes, what will you do?
