Do you buy insurance from family members?

It's the beginning of the new year and my SIL is here on a bright Sunday morning. She's here to check whether we all need help with getting insurance quotes or not. I've made a vow never to buy insurance from family members as they seem to think we owe it to them to buy from them. But when i need them to help me submit claims, they will more probably tell me to go do it by myself. What's the point, right. i can easily get an insurance quote online these days. Sometimes, i get better rates too.
