Less mozzies these days

Our neighborhood was fogged a few days back. It's the rainy season and the mozzies are back with a vengeance. MIL did say that they are lesser since our neighbor moved away. She has a whole garden full of shrubs and plants. Mozzies love to hide out there and as our house does not have mosquito netting at the doorway and windows, they all come flying in each night. I told my MIL to turn the outdoor lights on at night so as to draw them to it. She says it doesnt work. Well, for me, the best way is to stay locked up inside my room.
