Wanna try investing in gold?

My friends told me to withdraw my online earnings last week. But when i went to check, i found that USD withdrawal rate is not too favorable these few days. I emailed her back and told her i wont be withdrawing this time. Instead, i may want to have a go at investing in gold. Hubby told me long time ago to buy gold coins for long term safekeeping as it's way better than putting money into fixed deposit. I may do just that right now. Anyone here want to invest in gold?
