Pearl Jasmine Tea

In Chinese, it's called "Heong-pin", one of my daily cuppa. It s a blend of Jasmine flowers and green tea. Very light and fragrant. But me prefer Xi Hu Long Jin. My favourite, but ran out of it since CNY. Tea is a good source of anti-oxidant, full of health benefits and very much lower in caffeine compared to coffee. But that also depends on how you brew it. If you brew it for a long time, it becomes thick and contains more caffeine.

I bought this Pearl Jasmine Tea yesterday at a tea gallery in Parkson. I almost always stop by the shop for green tea ice-cream, and they serve me tea. So, i bought some of their varieties for my daily consumption.

This pic above shows what it looks like. This much is enough for 4 brews. About 1 1/2 teaspoonfuls. I dont use all those teaboats & teawares for brewing due to lack of space. They are all kept nicely in their box inside one of this house's many cabinets, lol. Wait till i move my ass out, then i'll start collecting all those toys wares.

What i do is pour hot water (not boiling hot - 10 minutes after it's stopped boiling is good enough) into a cup with a built-in strainer, wait for a few minutes, before pouring the brewed tea into a teapot. I'll repeat the process each time i finish drinking.
