My kid doesnt like water

My SIL dont get it that my kid doenst like water much. The nearest he can get to water is under the shower head. She went to a Mexico Vacation by the sea and told us how much her kid love running about on the beach, build sand castle and swim in the ocean. Damn.... i keep telling her North, and she keeps replying South. Life sure must be miserable having her around. Unless i can get my kid to stop screaming each time we even attempt to go near the water, we're so not going to the beach. Forget about Mexico Vacation, blek.
